Why watch it
The first film in history sold to a distributor during the Sundance festival itself. Rose Troche (later of The L Word) and Guinevere Turner shot it DIY on a shoestring, and it became a cornerstone of '90s New Queer Cinema β the film that proved to the industry that lesbian stories sell. The Sundance Institute later restored it.
